What happens in the ten minutes?

You sit with your child for about ten minutes. They read one short passage aloud. You can see the time. The timer may be visible during the read.

When the read ends, you see words correct per minute and accuracy. The next passage is chosen from that result by a fixed set of rules, not by a chat model. If a passage was too hard, the next one fits better. Nothing is taken away because a word was missed.

You stay in the room

This is not a screen your child uses alone. The parent is physically present, holding the device or sitting beside it.

Accessibility stays on

Type, spacing, paper colour, and the other reading aids are on every tier, including Free. They are never sold or gated.
