What number does a parent actually get?
Two numbers, computed the same way every time: words correct per minute, and accuracy. The chart is the child against their own earlier reads.
Grade norms exist, behind a disclosure the parent chooses to open. No leaderboard, no percentile shown to a child, and no comparison between families.
Volume and clarity are a separate note. They never change words correct per minute or accuracy.
The count follows the oral reading fluency norms of Hasbrouck and Tindal, the research base schools use.
